Toys, Constructed II
Tuesday, October, 16, 2025, 6:30–7:30pmPlease join us at Canal Projects for Toys, Constructed II, a robotics workshop presented in collaboration with the Brooklyn Robot Foundry, Manhattan Downtown location. Inspired by the artistic practice of Geumhyung Jeong and her homemade robotic sculptures, participants will be introduced to basic engineering principles and construct their very own robot. Registration is free, but spots are limited.
An instructor from the The Brooklyn Robot Foundry (Manhattan Downtown) will lead us through the lesson, introducing the group to engineering components, circuitry, and building techniques. All participants will build and keep their own robot after the lesson.
All participants must be 18+. The lesson will last an hour and will be hosted in our ground level gallery, which is accessed by a small flight of stairs or an ADA accessible lift. Please reach out to us@canalprojects.org with any questions.
This event has limited capacity, only the first 20 people to register will be added, everyone else will be put on the waitlist.
